Located in the heart of Singapore, the newly renovated first floor of Mandala Club called for a landscaping solution that elevated the interiors while preserving a sense of exclusivity. The result is a lush, privacy-enhancing green installation that feels lavish yet intimate, blending harmoniously into the club’s tropical-meets-modern aesthetic.
The landscape now acts as an immersive extension of the club’s identity, sophisticated, serene, and visually striking. It enhances user experience by providing moments of respite and reflection, all within a highly curated indoor environment.

Design Philosophy
This project was driven by a clear vision: to use tropical greenery as both design and function, creating natural barriers, enhancing ambience, and establishing spatial rhythm.
In a relatively compact indoor footprint, our goal was to introduce scale and volume without crowding the space. We employed plants as soft partitions, bringing in the visual language of a tropical forest retreat to counterbalance the structured interiors and rich textures of the venue.
The result is an organic contrast to the club’s sculptural lighting, plush furnishings, and curated art, enriching the spatial narrative with warmth and biophilic charm.
Key design elements
- Feature Palm Installation: A towering 4-meter foxtail palm commands the main floor area, anchoring the space with vertical greenery and tropical grandeur.
- Bar Counter Accent Planting: Flanking the bar area are 2-meter palms designed to create a lush backdrop while maintaining open sightlines for interaction.
- Privacy Through Foliage: Layered planting using small trees, potted palms, and understorey greenery provides natural screening between lounge and dining zones, offering a sense of seclusion.
- Low-Light Plant Selection: All species were selected for their adaptability to indoor lighting conditions and longevity in air-conditioned environments, ensuring sustainable beauty year-round.
- Container Styling: Planters were hand-picked to complement the club’s high-end design palette, using stone textures, dark ceramics, and natural finishes.
